Photographic Concepts
These samples showcase my commercial and lifestyle photography. I've honed my technical and creative skills in preparation, production, and directing. Image quality and captivating concepts are central to my work. My process includes mood boards, production sketches, location scouts, and post-production to create unique and attractive brand visuals. Teamwork is key to successful photoshoots.
Between 2017-2019 my team did marketing and lifestyle photography, as well as headshots, every year for the Centre for Digital Media. The images were used across web and in print for all sorts of marketing materials and advertisements.
I led a rebrand for the Urban Society for Aboriginal Youth in 2018. We needed new images for their website and marketing materials that showed their target audience using the latest technology. The new Calgary Public Library made for the perfect location with its creative and modern architecture.
I captured this series of Lynn Valley images for Seylynn Village, a North Vancouver development by Denna Homes. They were printed for a large outdoor banner to help sell the condos by showing the nearby amenities. We also did video of similar scenes, and timelapse photography of the construction.
I worked with the Masters of Food and Resource Economics program at UBC from 2018-2019 doing portraits, event photography, live videos, and a big promotional video project in collaboration with their marketing team. The students did internships all over the city and I would visually capture their stories and the impact they were having.
In 2022 we rented a small studio space to do new team photos for Unbounce. Our goal was to capture a work-from-home concept while still reflecting company collaboration.
